What One Solisten
Client Has to Say

“Warren’s handwriting continues to improve and show evidence of smooth cursive lines and connections. His focus and attention appear to be very good throughout the day…He is receiving NO special accommodations with regard to workload, etc. NO Learning Center attendance, NO NEOSMART for handwriting...   and is the only student in his computer class who can type perfectly on the keyboard with eyes closed and have OOOOO mistakes! He continues to have improved short term memory with regard to homework assignments and due dates.”
— Mother of Warren, age 9,

Improve Your Balance, Organization, Social and Motor Skills, and Your Ability for Daily Self Care

The Solisten Training Program, the portable educational application of the Tomatis Method, delivers results that transform learning, reading, focus, confidence and other aspects of sensory integration.

What is sensory integration and why is it important?

Integration of our senses is critical to living easily in today’s world. Human bodies have a natural rhythm that directs the body’s flow and functions. Eyes and ears work together to know when to cross a street; our taste buds usually warn us of food that does not agree with our stomachs. Our ears integrate sound in all our senses within the body system through bone and air conduction.

If you or your child are struggling with sensory integration—for whatever reason—it can affect all aspects of your life such as good posture, organization, learning, making friends, expressing yourself, holding a job, being in a relationship, or taking care of your personal daily hygiene.

The Solisten Training Program improves sensory integration through re-organizing the ear, clarifying sound and improving communication. What was once difficult becomes natural and easy.

Solisten is the portable application of the 55-year old Tomatis Method. The program builds on our knowledge that the ear is the first organ to grow in utero (Read more). Dr. Alfred A. Tomatis, the ear, nose and throat physician who developed the Tomatis Method and its patented technology, discovered that by changing the ear and how a person listens, the entire body changes.

How do I know if I have poor sensory integration?

Many people find that they have one or more of the symptoms of poor sensory integration if they are sensitive to loud or too much sound, being touched, specific foods or have poor body tone. Often these sensitivities are also symptoms of poor listening, shown on our Listening Checklist. Some people have experienced ear infections, a difficult birthing process, a childhood disease, an accident, or the loss of a close relative or cherished pet that may impact sensory integration.

Whatever the cause, it is possible to re-organize, develop or regain good sensory integration. The individualized programs and unique methodology of Solisten can help integrate your senses.
